McGuire College is a proud Government Secondary College with a diverse multicultural, co-educational student population of approximately 500 students.  Located within the South Shepparton region of the City of Greater Shepparton. McGuire College, in partnership with parents and our community, places the “student at the centre” to provide the best possible outcomes for all students.

The diversity of our student and wider community population is unique and a true strength.

The College has 61 equivalent full-time staff: 3 Principal class, 40 Teachers and 18 Educational Support Staff.

McGuire College currently has outstanding ICT resources including interactive whiteboards, video conferencing facilities, data projectors and high definition televisions with data links enabling teaching to move into the 21st Century. A Bring Your Own Device (BOYD) policy has been initiated for 2014 where all students will have access to online learning.

 

As an accredited member of the DEECD Select Entry Accelerated Learning Program (SEAL) McGuire College offers a program for students to follow individualised programs adding breadth and extension to their studies.  The College is also able to offer a wide range of Vocational Education and Training (VET) to students from both McGuire College and other local schools.  McGuire College also offers a comprehensive Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) program.

 

McGuire College enjoys partnerships with a number of key community agencies- The Smith Family, Latrobe University, Gotafe and others. These community partnerships and programs provide students with a range of experiences and opportunities to work directly with our local community whilst developing a greater understanding of the local needs of our community.

 

McGuire College is a member of the Better Together Alliance where the four secondary schools in Greater Shepparton - McGuire College, Mooroopna Secondary College, Shepparton High School and Wanganui Park Secondary College - work independently but interdependently to provide an excellent education for the young people in Greater Shepparton
